DIY: TOTE BAG

It's already 3:30am, still I can't sleep so I decided to check out my closet and found this loose sleeveless top and started to think where would I wear this? Without a doubt, I just get my scissors and do some major make over. haha A tank top or loose sleeveless makes a wonderful tote bag. Here is my own version of 'Tote Bag'.

 Materials: 

1. tank top / loose sleeveless

2. thread and needle

3. scissors

4. tape measure (optional)

STEP 1: Cut off the sleeves right at the seams.

STEP 2: Cut along the neckline. You can use a plate over the collar of the shirt then cut along the line you trace. 

STEP 3: Turn the shirt inside out, and begin stitching the lower portion of the top.

And voila! you're done! Your own DIY TOTE BAG. Why don't you try it? It's fun! Perfect for groceries, carry some books, overnight and so on. A useless top turn into a very useful bag!

You can also customize it and do some painting. As for my tote bag, I just used the excess cloth and ribbon it around the sleeves.
